It's Not A Secret Anymore!

Another beautiful label....Secret Squirrel.... which we can tell after only our second season with them...is going to be another long term friendship...these are pieces that you pull out of your wardrobe for years to come and are so so versatile...we LOVE that you know!

Lure....does contain nuts....

.......and that's one of the reasons we keep going back to this little haunt in good old Paddo week after week.....the staff are super friendly and just the right amount of nuts!

Of course we really go back for the amazing brekky.....

I really have to make it perfectly clear that even though Lure is owned by my lovely friend (and boss) Dee and her cute husband Chris that I am certainly not going there to satisfy my good friend urges (I tell Dee her bum looks good in those pants to cover that little number;)....no no...I can assure you, my husband and I are complete breakfast snobs....and we are not ashamed to admit it!

We even do that annoying thing to other friends, especially those who live in the area, like taunting them if they haven't been to Lure for brekky yet....."are you f*#@ing serious! you've never been to Lure for breakfast??! that's it, get out of my house" or "you obviously have the taste buds of a borderline simpleton!" and so on and so forth...

I love it when the owners personality shines through the whole cafe!

Such a beautiful place to sit this time of year...

This is one of my friends Greg..he's a recent Lure convert....not that it's hard to convince a man to go out for breakfast;)

My husband and I are vegos, so as a creature of habit I always order the Vego Big Start...oh yeah baby...this is GOOD! I was going to photograph the after shot of the empty plate but as Dan pointed out it looked like a bush turkey had scratched over my plate! Hey! I enjoy putting the food in my mouth...who cares what the plate looks like...am I right?!

Dan usually goes for the Zucchini Fritters with poached eggs and halepino yoghurt...which I proceed to steal for my breakfast...

The gang use Genovese coffee (YUM!) and you can't see from my amateur photo but the salad and cake selection is to die for....and as you can see by the flowers, Dee works her magical green thumb over there too...

See.....NUTS!!

Lure open 7 days a week for brekky and lunch and will soon be opening for dinner 4 nights a week......watch this space for my fat ass!

A Visit From An Old Friend...

Since we opened over 2 years ago we have seen some labels come and go over the seasons, some we have replaced with other labels we love more, and others have simply become like an old dear friend, going away just long enough for us to long for her return each season....

...and like an old dear friend, she comes back with slight changes to her appearance but overall it's that same old friend you grew to love all those years ago....

.....let's call her Indigo!

Spring = Silk!

The Spring deliveries keep rolling through the door and this season we are very excited as we have so many new labels to share with you! One of the things we are always trying to do is source new and interesting clothing, jewelery and accessories to keep things exciting for you and for us as well...while still maintaining the Miss Mouse feel with existing labels we will always LOVE!

If this means skipping a nutritious lunch in favour of scones with jam and cream (thank you Joanna) every now and then so we can stay on the lap top until we find that perfect pair of studded wrap sandals for Spring then SO BE IT!! ;)

One of these beautiful new labels is Aussie label Amber & Thomas....amazing soft silks and cottons in drapey fluid shapes...so easy for Spring...

Button Down Silk Cotton Shirt in turquoise....worn with the J Brand khaki shorts....we are constantly amazed that J Brand seem to always get the fits just perfect! Just a great little alternative to denim for Summer...

When we ordered these beautiful dove grey booties by Zimmermann for Spring.....well this is exactly how we pictured them being worn.....with a gorgeous white cotton sundress...

Ali is such a beautiful girl and we always look forward to her visits to Miss Mouse....we especially love it when she pops in with her Mum Leith.....These girls always remind my short self that even those of us with "height issues" can still have a knock out set of pins.....

LOVE the nude lacing on these pretty booties!

BORING!

If you want to excite or keep us interested for more than 2 minutes do not mention the two words which send us to snooze town......"strapless gown"....population....everyone at the Emmys...BORING!

Looking at ladies at red carpet events really aint our thang.....much prefer everyday gals for inspiration....however, just wanted to say, out of a sea of 20 something bland cookie cutter cardboard cut outs........................................
